Anna Kendrick was an already Tony-nominated actress as a child when she was cast in the principal role in "Twilight." She also shot five other projects between "Twilight," including "Up in the Air". The film won an Oscar for her role as George Clooney in that film. Since her debut, she's been a part in many commercially and critically film projects that have been successful, such as "Scott Pilgrim Vs. America." Anna Cook Kendrick was conceived in Portland, Maine, on the 9th August 1985. Her mother was an accountant while her father taught of history. Anna was brought up by Michael, her older brother who was an actor. Michael later went on to become an actor. Anna Kendrick began auditioning to Broadway plays as a teenager at Deering High School in Portland. When she was only 12 her first big theater performance was High Society. Her performance was recognized with numerous awards and nominations despite the fact she was still a small child. She was an actress in A Little Night Music as an occasional role. At the age of 15 she was the first actress to make her debut in the film Camp the same year. Kendrick was nominated for an Oscar nomination for her performance as well as Rocket Science 2007.
