
Drew Blythe Barrymore (born February 22, 1975)[1] is an American actor, director, producer, talk show host, and author. She belongs to the Barrymore acting family. She has won numerous awards and nominations such as an award for a Golden Globe Award as well as an Screen Actors Guild Award. There have also been nominations for seven Emmy Awards, and a British Academy Film Award. In 2004, she earned a star in the Hollywood Walk of Fame. She was a well-known young actor because of her character in E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial. After a troubled childhood filled with drug and alcohol dependence, she released Little Girl Lost, an autobiography. She appeared in a number of films that were successful in the 1990s and 2000s, such as Charlie's Angels, Never Been Kissed, Poison Ivy, Boys on the Side, Mad Love, Batman Forever, Scream and Ever After. Barrymore starred with Adam Sandler in three films The Wedding Singer, 50 First Dates and Blended. Other films she's starred in include Firestarter and Donnie Darko. She was also in her directorial debut film Whip It. Grey Gardens was her first film. She was awarded a Screen Actors Guild Award, as well as an Golden Globe Award. She was the main character in Netflix's Santa Clarita Diet. She is currently hosting The Drew Barrymore Show, a syndicated talk-show.
